What You Really Need On Your Baby Registry

d80f8b9d-bc88-454b-8e8e-72051e00ab58

Any new mamas or expecting mamas to be out there?  Expecting your first child is a very exciting, emotional and thrilling time!  And also brings a lot of nerves and feeling of overwhelm. Getting the items you need, setting up your baby registry, what do you need, what colors to get, what products are better? Ahhh! do I have another gray hair popping??!! These are just some of the million questions we ask ourselves as new and s*it scared parents to-be-! Yes it is OK to feel like this.  Completely normal!!! You walk into Buy Buy Baby, Target or any other baby store and you are thinking “Omg, what the hell do I need?!” or “I have absolutely no clue what to get or where to start!”  It is OK! Take it step by step.

What I found to be less overwhelming was going into the store I was registering at and focus on the bigger ticket items first ( stroller, car seat, crib, etc) and spend time talking with the store associates and specialists there on the differences about safety and durability.  I found that to be one of the more important things to do first.  Everything else I could add online to my registry and not feel like a crazy mess trying to cram everything in that day or spend my whole day there and not get much done!  It is amazing what they have now for babies! I will say though the boys Weeblock cup was a pretty ingenious idea.  Boy mom over here and wish I would have bought that!

So why am I saying all of this?  I want to ease the burden of not knowing what to get, help you in with what I recommend and found necessary too add to my registry or wish I would have added! Also, I did not want to put a ton of clothes on my registry because I found people tend to give those items more after the baby is born and found I needed more of the other necessary baby items more. Plus, newborns live in onesies and footie pjs for first few months and they poop/spit up all day long! Why spend $300 on Burberry coat? Well, maybe I will- splurge for mama:)

Lashes long, coffee strong is my motto these past few months… No one prepares you for what is to come raising the terrible toddler stage.  Who knew I could ruin someones day because I chose the wrong cup or bowl color!! Forget trying to get them dressed- it is like wrestling a pig! When I say to him get dressed, his interpretation is to stand around naked with one sock on and a truck in his hand watching Disney Jr.  Insert big sigh of I give up!

Top Tips for a Whiter Smile

www.alwaysrosy.com

Show me those pearly whites! Are you constantly hiding your smile due to lackluster teeth? My teeth growing up and well into my adult years were very soft and would stain very easily.  I would try product after product. Some would work and some would not.  But, the problem I had is that certain whitening products would highlight certain spots on my teeth and they would become whiter:/ And,that is not a good thing because the rest of my teeth would not match. Over the years, my front teeth became very soft and brittle which led me to having get veneers on a few of my teeth. Even though I have veneers, I still need to be sure to keep my other teeth matching, healthy and pearly white.  Your teeth will feel so lucky now that they have discovered this whitening system!

How I am Learning to Stay Balanced and How You Can Too

www.alwaysrosy.com

In 2007, I was in a bad car accident and was rear-ended by a truck ( will leave the name out but, I will let you know it was a big delivery truck that we see all the time). The accident landed me into months of physical therapy and now my neck and back has and will never be the same.  Few years after, my back and neck pain started to dissipate after continuing my daily exercises, yoga, eating right and getting sleep.  But, this all changed once I became pregnant and had children.  I love my children to pieces and thank God everyday for them! I of course, knew children could possibly bring back my chronic issues as with being pregnant.  Once the relaxin sets in, your muscles and ligaments start to loosen to prepare your body for labor and delivery.

During my first pregnancy, my neck and back issues came back to haunt me.  I could not sleep ( being pregnant we know sleep is inevitable especially in the 3rd trimester), had terrible lower back and sciatic pain, my neck was stiff and well just didn’t stop hurting.  It was hard for me to continue going to the gym because I developed pre-eclempsia and was put on mild bed rest.  I continued to practice pre-natal yoga with modifications, continued seeing the chiropractor and acupuncturist just to relieve the pain.  I also couldn’t be on the same muscle relaxers/steroids while being pregnant, but in the end I don’t want to be on pain meds the rest of my life. It truly was debilitating.  Fast forward a year and half later, I was pregnant with my second child and everything just started all over again.  In between my pregnancies, I did muster some energy back up to go to the gym and get weekly adjustments but nothing was helping.  I lived with this pain 24/7 and being a mom and having a newborn and a toddler it was hard to sleep more than 3-4 hours a night.  Sleep is your best medicine.
